SodaStream Review

I was fortunate enough to review a SodaStream machine.  We don't  buy a lot of soda because the kids really don't need it, and it's so expensive.  They do like it as treats though so I was excited when it came in the mail.  It was packaged great and before I even had all the flavors out, the kids had the reusable soda bottle out, rinsed and filled to the line with cold water, and the root beer syrup waiting near the machine.  We got a very nice variety, and I was happy that there were many diet syrups included and a cola free (which tastes just like coke zero...hubby's choice of drink).  There is even an energy drink syrup for those who are always on the go.  Each bottle of concentrated syrup equals 33 cans of soda.  You really can't beat that.  On the right are sparkling natural soda syrup, they are new and made with cane sugar.  One bottle of those equals 25 cans.  There are new flavors like orange pineapple, blackcurrant and pear, even green tea.
Also included was a 3 pack of sparkling water flavors.  Great for when you get bored with plain water.  The taste awesome.  I got an extra water bottle just so I can keep sparkling water ready at all times.

Fill the cap to the line with syrup.  To make the fizz, screw the water on.

Pump the button 3 times for average fizz.

Unscrew the water bottle after you are done.
Slowly add the syrup.  Watch out that you don't add it too fast because it will fizz up and spill out the bottle if you do.

Cap the bottle, and slowly mix the soda together.  We tip it side to side a couple times.
And then watch your savings add up.  The bottles of syrup are less expensive than a 6 pack of your favorite soda, and you get more for the price. And want to know the best part?  They contain NO HIGH FRUCTOSE SYRUP. You can find them at places like Best Buy, Sears, Costco, Staples, and those are just a few places.   When your CO2 cartridge is empty, you can exchange it for a new one at minimum cost at many of those same places. While the initial investment of a SodaStream may seem high, you will soon see that it is worth it.

Disclosure... I was given a SodaStream and a variety of syrups  for the purpose of my personal review. This blog post is not a paid post and the honest opinions stated are my own.
